Life

From that title I feel like I should write something really inspirational and life changing but………..

“no”

uncle si

I can give you one word that describes life right now….”Partay”……”PARtay.” Let me explain….My parents are having a second honeymoon.

Sooooo you know what that means for us….

Really excited     success

Again…. PARTAY. 😉

but since the parental units have been gone we’ve run into a few…….obstacles…

Maintenance

House…

run-down-house

The good news is we’ve started selling flowers!

Car….

burning car

Well… at least it’s just the top of the car! Easy fix.

The Children

Honey Boo Boo

…………

So I’d say we’re doing pretty good….pretty good…

First World Problems

Hey People!

I love America.

Half the time we’re like this….

Merica...

But then sometimes we’re like this….

laziness

Such times as these I would label as…. “meh”

And at some point during these “meh” times we have come up with something we like to call, first world problems.

Here are a few examples…

cookie

testing me.

joke

running

And finally my favorite…

catch you

There are many more examples but I’ll save those for another time….

Have a good night 🙂

The Evolution of Music

Hello People!

The evolution of music the past few decades has been drastic and honestly a little pitiful…

We’ve gone from

This…                                                                                                         To this…

Bing crosby                                            Macklemore

This                                                                                                         To this….

Etta James 1964 Gilles Pétard Collection- DALLE                                           niki minja

This…                                                                                              To this….

julie andrews                                         Lady gaga

This…                                                                                        To this…

stevie wonder                                      Snoop dogg

And finally this….                                                              To this….

Micheal Jackson                                    Justin bieber

You could literally kill someone with that hat…

In the words of Victor Hugo, “Music expresses that which cannot be put into words and cannot remain silent” ….apparently musicians just don’t have much to say anymore… 🙂 With the exception of country music of course. 🙂

Femininity

Hey people!

I’ve been thinking a lot lately about the difference between femininity and masculinity. When I say femininity and masculinity I don’t mean this…

mennonite-woman                     Women bodybuilder

I will admit that when I hear those terms I tend to think these two extremes…both of which makes me think…

“Ew”

I especially have a hard time with not going to the way too masculine side of things. For example, when someone tells me to be more lady-like my first thought is…”heck no” I typically think that this

Woman spy is WAY cooler than this… old-woman-knitting-

But that’s me going to the two extremes again. I think the trick is to find the balance between the two. My mom and my sister Hannah are perfect examples of this, where I would kick somebody in the shins when they got on my nerves. They, would smile politely and walk away. Frankly, they’re my heroes. My goal in life is to stop kicking people in the shins 🙂 No but seriously, if I can be half of what they are, I will be one happy girl!

So anyway my point is that there is a fine line between femininity and masculinity and I hope that someday I’ll find it!
